Outfit of the Day+Leopard Nails

I ran errands in this outfit today...you can never go wrong with skinny jeans, a cute tee, and a cardigan!!
Cardigan from target, skinny jeans from Victoria's Secret, Tee from JcPenny

And, I twisted up my manicure...using permanent markers!

Just make sure whenever you use sharpies for nail art you finish by adding a clear top coat. Otherwise, it does rub off. Even if the marker says it's permanent.....ya know

And, a picture of the necklace I've been working forever on.

I DID IT!!!

Um yes........this is my victory pose, clearly photographed via my camera timer!!! I read my manual and now know how to take clear pictures on the self-timer.......more outfits coming soon!!!

J.Lo Makeup Video Tutorial

So, if you know me, it's no secret that Jennifer Lopez is my beauty/fashion idol.  Nah, not a big fan of her music and/or movies, but the girl always looks amazing!! I love her style because she likes to wear really classy, elegant pieces in a sexy way. Last season, I watched American Idol for the first time, and totally got sucked in. When they announced that J.Lo was going to be judge for this new season I was stoked! And she hasn't let me down...I am way more excited each week to see what she is wearing rather than watching the actual show.
So today, I am sharing with you my makeup tutorial on how to get that sun-kissed bronze makeup look that J.Lo so commonly wears. Sure, she mixes it up from time to time, but this is her go-to makeup look.

Sigh...

I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual. I WILL read my camera manual.

I WILL learn how to take pictures from far away with the timer so I can do more outfits of the day, etc.
I TRIED to use it earlier, and they're so blurry!!
So until then.......this is all I have: more jewelry. But hey, at least I made a really cool necklace. : )

Wonderful Wal-mart finds-$1 earrings

Check out these awesome earrings I found in the $1 jewelry bin in the jewelry section at Wal-Mart...

Makeup Trend: Purple

I have seen purple makeup everywhere this spring!! In my April issue of Instyle magazine, they had a feature on the singer Adele, and had tried different purple makeup ideas on her for the shoot...I got hooked in! Here is my purple makeup look, complete with the best manicure I have ever given myself!!

I LOVE this nail polish...and I never love any polish I buy. Revlon Top Speed...I only did two coats and my nails look better than they ever have. It covered well but wasn't too thick, and it DID dry fast!!

This is the lipstick I'm wearing...Revlon Super Lustrous in Berry Mauve...kind of a light purple/berry color

I used the shade on the left all over my lid and up to my brow to highlight and act as a base. Then I used the purple all over my lid and in the crease. This is the first time for me using a cream eyeshadow, and I find it to have pros and cons. I like that you use your finger, because I feel like it gives you more control. I dabbed it on rather than smeared. The downside is that these colors looked BRIGHT in the case, but went on really sheer. Which would be fine...except I really wanted a strong purple eye. So I ended up using a lot, and using purple eyeliner too.
The lipstick went on smooth and creamy-and stayed that way.
This isn't my sexy pose or anything-just wanted you to see nails and face together!
My purple lids, lips, and nails!!!

Gabriel rolling down the hill...

Scroll through quickly to get the effect...lol...I literally had to cut him off from doing this

Stop and smell the wildflowers...

Gabriel and I were playing outside this morning since the sun is finally out, though it's not particularly warm outside yet. While we were visiting my parents last week, our backyard has EXPLODED...the grass and weeds are ridiculously long, and it's only been a few days!!
It's so crazy how even though it comes every year, Spring makes you start to feel so good when it first starts arriving, and you can't help but feel good being outside. I was suddenly struck by an idea...I'll pick a little bouquet of snapdragons and buttercups and bring them inside...I mean...it's probably been fifteen years since I've picked a wild bouquet...why not?
Look how cute it is!! I suggest that if any of you have little flowers growing in your yard, you go out and pick some and make a little centerpiece for your table...every time I've looked at them in the kitchen it makes me feel good!!

Stuff I love: Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipgloss

I picked this stuff up at Wal-mart yesterday and I really like it. I have been using lipstick instead of gloss for a few years now, because I hate that gummy lip feeling. But, after seeing so many pretty shades of gloss out there lately, I decided to give it another try. Rimmel is usually my go-to brand at the drugstore because it is less expensive than Covergirl, Revlon, etc. and I almost always like their stuff. So, I picked up a tube of their Moisture Renew Lipgloss in a Fuschia. I love this stuff!! It goes on and is not gloppy at all. The color is pretty without being too strong. And it lasts!! Not to mention it conditions your lips, which is something you usually find in a lipstick, not a gloss.
