Warning: Extremely Delicious

In preparation for the upcoming bikini season and in light of my addiction to chocolate (I am not one of those people that can stop at one candy bar or slice of cake) I am giving up chocolate, candy, cake, cookies, etc. STARTING TOMORROW!!! So to celebrate, tonight I made the best chocolate chip cookies ever. And I plan on eating at least 10. No joke. What makes them so great is the addition of a packet of instant vanilla pudding, which makes them very soft and yummy.
Here it is........the best chocolate chip cookies on earth.

You will need:

2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/3 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
1/2 cup shortening
1 (4 ounce) package of instant vanilla pudding
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 package semi-sweet chocolate chunks
1/2 package milk chocolate chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a separate bowl, mix together flour and baking soda. Add a pinch of salt.
2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, shortening, pudding mix, and butter.

3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating in between. Beat dough on medium speed for about a minute. Next, add the flour mixture, about 1/3 at a time. Beat until dough is uniform looking and fluffy.
Patiently waiting to add the chocolate chips...

I used about half of each of these bags. I find the semi-sweet a little too bitter by themselves, and the milk a little too sweet...so I like a little of both. You can use whatever you want though!

As soon as he poured them in, he was pulling them out and eating them. I kept saying, "No more eating the chocolate chips, it's almost dinnertime" and each time he would loudly say, "OTAY MOMMY!" ...and then reach back in and get another one.

Stir the chips in and cook for about 11 minutes.
